Back in November and December 2025,... the Rotary Club of the Comox Valley held our Everyone Eats Raffle Draw, with nearly every 2,000 tickets sold at $10 each.

The raffle was built around a simple idea: Everyone Eats.

The prizes were:

First Prize:
10 × $100 gift certificates to local food businesses.

Second Prize:
8 × $100 gift certificates to local food businesses.

Third Prize: 5 × $100 gift certificates to the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market.

These prizes were not donated!

The Rotary Club of the Comox Valley purchased each and every gift certificate. That means local food businesses benefited from the raffle, the prize winners benefited by receiving $1,000, $800, or $500 in food-related gift certificates, and the remaining proceeds went directly back into the community!

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who purchased tickets and supported the raffle, we were able to present $9,446.50 each to the Comox Valley Food Bank and LUSH Valley Food Action Society!

It may have taken a little while to coordinate everyone’s schedules for the cheque presentation, but we were very happy to finally gather and celebrate what this community effort accomplished.

A sincere thank you to everyone who bought tickets, helped sell tickets, shared the raffle, or supported the Rotary Club of the Comox Valley in any way.

Because of you, local businesses were supported, raffle winners enjoyed food from our community, and two outstanding organizations received funds to help feed others.

That is why we call it the Everyone Eats Raffle.

We look forward to continuing this annual fundraiser next winter, and we are grateful for YOUR! ... and our community’s continued support.

We hope to see you next year!

Hi ,

A reminder of our Earth Day Cleanup happening this evening!

We’ll be meeting at 6:30 pm in two locations along the Courtenay Riverway Heritage Walk. Together, we’ll spend some time caring for our shared spaces by collecting debris along the pathways—an opportunity to give back to our community while enjoying the outdoors and each other’s company.

After our clean-up, both groups will come together at the parking lot near the children’s play area on Mansfield Drive. Once everything is safely collected and stored, we’ll head across the street to Ace Brewing to relax, share a beverage, and enjoy some social time together.

A sign-up link is below, with two starting locations listed to help us balance our groups. Please bring gloves, garbage bags, and trash pickers if you have them.

For everyone’s safety, please do not pick up used drug paraphernalia if encountered—we will ensure those items are handled appropriately.

Whether you can stay for the whole evening or just part of it, all are welcome. It’s a simple and meaningful way to support our community and spend time together.
