ServiceAbility Training Program—Courtenay

ServiceAbility Training Program—Courtenay ServiceAbility Training Program is a new employment program designed to get you working in the Service industry in Courtenay and the Comox Valley.

If you are unemployed, not eligible for EI, 18 or older, and interested in a career in retail sales and supervision, food and beverage serving, restaurant management or office support, ServiceAbility may be right for you. Participants in the ServiceAbility Training Program receive:
• four weeks of essential skills and job readiness training, including targeted résumé and cover letter writing, inte

rview and job search strategies and more
• two weeks of workplace certificate training, such as PEAK Training and Development, Occupational First Aid, FoodSafe Level 1 and more
• two weeks of work experience and on-the-job training (expected to lead to continuous employment)
• ongoing one-on-one career coaching to meet your individual needs

This program is funded by the Government of Canada and is delivered in partnership with the Province of B.C. through the Canada-British Columbia Job Fund.
