Due to exceptionally early drought conditions and implementation of Stage 2 Water Use Restrictions, Ships Point water main flushing scheduled May 14-15 will be postponed until fall.

Due to unusually dry conditions, Ships Point Improvement District is moving to Stage 2 Water Use Restrictions effective immediately. Please limit sprinkler use and watering of lawns and trees to 3 hours a day between the hours of 10 pm-10am. Thank you for conserving water 💦

***CAMPFIRE BAN LIFTED - PERMITS REQUIRED***

Effective September 25th at noon, Coastal Fire Centre burning ban rescinded. On Ships Point, campfires in fire chief-approved appliances allowed. Campfires without fire chief approval and yard waste fires require permits until October 15th. Thank you for your cooperation.

Ships Point water system is running at full capacity again and residents may resume using irrigation and sprinklers according to Stage 2 Water Use Guidelines. A big thank you to our water operators who completed repairs early and thank you to those who made it easier by pulling together to conserve! 💦

Please turn off all sprinklers and irrigation systems from 8:00am Tuesday Aug 5 through 8:00pm Wednesday Aug 6.
SPID will be doing repairs and our water system will be working at reduced capacity during this period.
Help us to avoid excessive loss of water pressure and the requirement to boil our water by limiting water use during this 36 hour time period. Thank you all for your cooperation!
