As of noon today, September 3, 2026 the Coastal Fire Centre has rescinded the Total Fire Ban. For Ships Point residents this means that campfires in appliances approved by the Fire Chief are now allowed. Open Burning is still prohibited. Boil water advisory is still in effect. Temporary repairs have been made to the water system. Water will be tested and monitored throughout the day. A decision will be made this evening whether the boil water advisory can be lifted or needs to remain in place.

Boil Water Advisory in effect for Ships Point!

Due to a water pressure issue affecting chlorine levels a boil water advisory is in place effective immediately. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes prior to using water for consumption and cooking. We will keep you updated with information.

The Coastal Fire Centre has lifted the total fire ban as of noon today however open burning is still prohibited. For Ships Points residents:

*Open Burning is prohibited.
*Only campfires in Fire Chief approved appliances are permitted.

Due to unusually dry conditions, Ships Point Improvement District is moving to Stage 2 Water Use Restrictions effective immediately. Please limit sprinkler use and watering of lawns and trees to 3 hours a day between the hours of 10 pm-10am. Thank you for conserving water πŸ’¦
