PLEASE NOTE! As of October 1st, the BOTTLE DEPOT opens an hour later on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2 pm! This is a return to our winter schedule which will remain in effect through May, 2026. The Recycling Centre and Free Store hours are unchanged!

Think you'd like to join our team?! Recycling Staff work collaboratively with the Bottle Depot, the Free Store, and the public, so we are looking for someone reliable, friendly, and easy to work with. Flexibility on our days of operation would be also be a great asset!

Sorry folks! If you're wondering why your garbage didn't get picked up today, Thursday, Aug. 7th, an unexpected mechanical problem with the truck was the reason.

Fortunately, a majority of the service route was completed. However customers located north of Scott Road, including those on Danes through Swan Road, as well as Beadnell, Baikie, and Dalziel Roads were not reached.

Strathcona Recycling extends "our sincere apology for any inconvenience this may cause to the affected residents as we will not be able to offer a makeup pickup for these customers this week."

Full service will resume next Thursday, August 14th!
