MADD Comox Chapter attended Highland Secondary School for a day of impaired driving awareness. The day began with a gripping mock crash scenario, supported by fire, ambulance, and police, setting the stage for a day focused on the real-life consequences of impaired and dangerous driving.
The students watched MADD Canada’s powerful dramatization, The Last Dance, which left a lasting impact.
Molly also bravely shared her personal story of being hit by an impaired teen driver—despite his friends' efforts to stop him from getting behind the wheel. Her words were heartfelt and sobering.
During the lunch hour, students engaged with our information booth, where they had the chance to try on Fatal Vision Goggles and experience the simulated effects of impairment—this interactive element was a big hit!
