Sugarloaf 99s Based at KFDK in Frederick, MD we are a chapter of the Ninety-Nines, Inc. International Organization of Women Pilots. Women Fly It Frederick!!!

Established in 1929 by 99 women pilots, the members of The Ninety-Nines, Inc., International Organization of Women Pilots, are represented in all areas of aviation today. And, to quote Amelia Earhart, our first elected president, we fly “for the fun of it!” The 99s International is located on the grounds of Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City, OK where our Museum of Women Pilots is also located. Our scholarship Trust Fund of over $5M provides flight and aviation education support to our members via Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships.

The Sugarloaf Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is offering a maximum of two scholarships with a total value of $6,000. These scholarships are awarded in honor the “small but mighty” Sugarloaf 99’s chapter, who provides inspiration and support to fellow aviatrix of our chapter and section to help them pursue their aviation-related goals. Funds may be used for any phase of flight training (initial pilot through ATP including instrument, instructor, or other ratings), checkride fees, written exam fees, academic work related to aviation, air racing, charity flying, or any other reasonable flying-related activity.
