At each Fiesta there are many local & global organizations and businesses selling fair trade products. Fiesta, World Craft Bazaars began 30 years ago because, Dave Talbot, Comox Valley Fiesta Coordinator, needed to do something concrete to deal with his anger over the unfairness of the world. It has been encouraging to see the growth in Fair Trade over the last 30 years. The vendors come from Vanc
ouver, Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville, Campbell River and the Comox Valley. These vendors work directly with the artisans in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. There is something for everyone, unique crafts in all price ranges, from Christmas ornaments from Peru to baskets from Ghana, carpets from Cashmere, cards from Vietnam, shawls and blankets from Nepal, shea butter body products, calendars, games, toys, clothing, housewares and jewellery from around the world.
