Fiesta is a Fair Trade Craft Fair that takes place in 4 communities on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada.

At each Fiesta there are many local & global organizations and businesses selling fair trade products. Fiesta, World Craft Bazaars began 30 years ago because, Dave Talbot, Comox Valley Fiesta Coordinator, needed to do something concrete to deal with his anger over the unfairness of the world. It has been encouraging to see the growth in Fair Trade over the last 30 years. The vendors come from Vancouver, Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville, Campbell River and the Comox Valley. These vendors work directly with the artisans in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. There is something for everyone, unique crafts in all price ranges, from Christmas ornaments from Peru to baskets from Ghana, carpets from Cashmere, cards from Vietnam, shawls and blankets from Nepal, shea butter body products, calendars, games, toys, clothing, housewares and jewellery from around the world. Come for the fair trade, the food and the fun! Come and make a difference, one purchase at a time!

❤️ Meet the Grandmothers of Africa and the Comox Valley ❤️

We're delighted to welcome the Comox Valley Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign to the Fiesta World Craft Bazaar on Nov 21 & 22 at the Filberg Downtown from 10-4!

The Grandmothers of Sub-Saharan Africa are a resilient and inspiring group of women. After losing their own children to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, many stepped forward to raise their orphaned grandchildren, providing love, care, and education despite enormous challenges.

In 2007, a group of women from the Comox Valley was inspired by the strength and determination of these African grandmothers and joined the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign to help support their efforts.

When you visit their booth, you'll find beautiful handcrafted items including: 👜 Unique handmade tote bags
🐦 Charming fabric bird mobiles and ornaments
🎁 One-of-a-kind gift items created with care and purpose

Every purchase helps support programs that assist African grandmothers and the grandchildren in their care.
