Calgary Outdoor Club +More This is the official page of the Calgary Outdoor Club + More.

We are not a professional organization that subscribes to a set of standards laid out by a national or international association. We do not provide training programs, or require volunteers to pass, provide, or write any kind of certification recognized by any national or international authority. The COC relies heavily on its interactive events and networking web site to allow people to sign up for

membership, communicate with one another, register and pay for events, submit event feedback, and make suggestions for club improvements.

🚧 Area Closure - Lake Minnewanka Area 🚧

Black bears in the area are displaying food-seeking behaviour. For public safety, the following areas are closed to all travel until further notice:
• Lake Minnewanka Trail
• Aylmer Pass Trail
• Campgrounds: Lm8, Lm9, Lm11, Lm20, Lm22, Lm31

⚠️ This closure is in place under the Canada National Parks Act to protect visitors and wildlife. There is absolutely no entry permitted. Violators may face fines up to $25,000.

🧘‍♀️ FREE Outdoor Yoga is back in Alpine Park SW!

Every Sunday starting June 21st, from 11AM–NOON in Central Park for FREE outdoor yoga led by Calgary’s top instructors, Elena Ali & Thu Libin.

All levels are welcome, arrive early at the Welcome Centre to sign in!

Space is limited so please arrive by 10:45 at the latest. You will be required to register and sign a waiver prior to participation.

Alberta Parks has confirmed that the recent heavy rainfall has destabilised large rocks above the Spray Lakes Road between the Grassi Lakes turnoff and the top of the hill. A significant rockfall already occurred on June 1st, and conditions suggest More could follow.
The closure covers a wider area than some people might expect. Spray Lakes Road (Highway 742 / Smith-Dorrien Trail) is shut in that section for all users - vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. The GRASSI Lakes Upper Trail, Interpretive Trail, and the Reclaimer Trail are all closed too, effective June 10th and with no end date confirmed.
