Focusing on rescuing homeless dogs and cats from harsh environments and overcrowded shelters, rehabilitate them and match to adopter's and pets needs. We also try our best to educate about animal welfare, dog behaviour and dog psychology.

UPDATE: We received a call for help after two local animal agencies filled to capacity told them to put it down. We do not agree, and never will, with this sort of disregard for animals who need humans help.

This kitty-cat video sent in by the callers near Wainsworth, Alberta, shows the kitty cat in obvious distress after finding in their garage on their farm. We reached out to Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue Society who had recently contacted us about Clementine, a similar cat not too unlike this one. This animal rescue organization has untold amount of knowledge and experience with cats like this, something we are not that knowledgeable about.

Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue Society is now coordinating with family to get it to Edmonton to asses and take to their vet.

A woman contacted us for help about a cat she found yesterday in her farm garage near Wainsworth Alberta and sent us this video of the poor thing. Perhaps the Wobbly Cat syndrome or Cerebellum Hypoplasia or FIP, we don't know but sharing if anyone has experience with this. We are helping them with information on FIP and vet specialist name we used in Calgary diagnosiorng and treating Clementine as well as the animal rescue organization ECWARS that as a vast experience with cats needing specialized help.

We have a Shepherd Retriever mix now under our care after called to help after mauled by dogs. Ear very infected inside and wounds all over body but getting bathed, vetted, on antibiotics and receiving TLC. Loves people shortly after getting to know them, good around new dogs both large and small, also good with cats, Bandit, about 4 years, will be available for adoption after healing and his neuter. He's fluffy, has straight ears until mauled. Very thin due to malnourished. We have no doubt will be in tip top shape soon. 😘

We have a new pretty Husky Collie mix, 2 1/2 years, medium sized, and will be listed on website for adoption soon along with more info. Very loving and affectionate, playful with dogs, people including children. Not good however with cats. Her name is Floof and we are looking for foster care for her. She is currently near Lethbridge.

We received a call from a lady in Canmore about this kitty found outside crying for two days and now brought inside. We advised she call Bylaw which she had two days ago but no response yet. We are posting if anyone can share in Canmore or knows of this kitty's owner, or if was abandoned near staff accom. The lady is returning home in 3 weeks and if no one claims would like to bring with her but first looking to see if has an owner looking for it AND if anyone in Canmore available to take in the kitty until bylaw is able to attend to her since she is in a no pet place. We have another husky, Zander is older, 4 years tied to a tree in severe heat. 6 years old now, just spent nearly 2 years in a shelter dungeon, now he's being boarded but its costly and the money could go to saving another.

Thank you everyone inquiring about the pregnant husky, we have another, already neutered and vetted needing foster and adopter. His mange is now under control and so happy when with someone.💙🥰

His name is blu. Please apply to foster or adopt, he's a year old and sweet as can be. Well socialized! Living in a small dirt run and doesn't get out much...

One of our team members who runs Hope Beyond Borders visited Tijuana from BC 5 months ago and staying for two weeks helping Maria.
She took Blu and others out for pack walks and a friend pitched in and paid for badly needed eyelid surgery.

There are no city animal shelters that help these street dogs. None. It's all volunteers in hot mucky climate with little money or funds.

We received a message from one out of rescue friends in Saskatchewan asking about help with a pregnant sad lonely husky. We were in luck and arrangements for the mother to Calgary has already been made since a driver was going next week and our contact is going over to pick her up.

In meantime, looking for foster in Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore, Banff or BC, we can arrange transport.

She is a loving young husky and we can care for her till she has her puppies and then transport to foster care, or transfer her before birth. We counsel people how to raise newborns. Our group has raised many dozens of litters and can show you how to give them the best start in life.😘

It's not hard, just need compassion, love, and dedication. It's a rewarding experience to help the mother and babies. 💙🩵💙

We just received a call about these kitties found in Kensington, Calgary, by a trash collector in his big truck. He saw a dead one run over next to the trash can and got out and looked. He checked next to the dead one and three infant kittens, alive, were inside a grocery bag, apparently, the one that was run over had wiggled out. 😥

Foster care was needed however, the drivers wife went and and got the kittens and decided to take them on her way home to Trinity vet to get them checked. Trinity Animal Hospital said they are healthy and are going to take them to the Calgary Humane Society for their feeding. They were just born, umbilical cords still attached! Who would do that. How could anyone do that! Of course no idea where or how the mother is.🥺

If interested in fostering newborns, you can check with the Calgary Shelter about being a volunteer. In meantime, we don't have any cat or kitten foster applications in and sure could use some for emergencies and urgent placement.🙏
