Bike to Work Day Calgary Thursday, May 6, 2027! Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate or observe as Calgarians come together to celebrate one of the city’s best ways to travel.

Bike to Work Day Calgary celebrates and promotes cycling as a healthy, convenient, efficient, low-cost and socially responsible means of transportation which contributes to a reduction of inner city traffic congestion and pollution. This is an excellent opportunity for beginners to experienced cyclists to come together and utilize the city’s extensive pathway system! Best of all, the event is free

and there is no need to register. If you are interested in volunteering for Bike to Work Day, or for more information, please contact us!

A huge congratulations to the 7 lucky riders who pedalled away with brand new bikes from this year’s Bike to Work Day prize draws! 👏

Thank you to everyone who participated, visited our Energy Pit Stops, and helped make Bike to Work Day 2026 such an incredible community event. Your support for active transportation continues to make a real difference across Calgary.

🏆 Corporate Challenge Results Are In! 🚲

What an incredible turnout for this year’s Bike to Work Day Corporate Challenge! The competition was unbelievably close, with companies across Calgary showing up in a huge way to support active transportation and sustainable commuting.

After the final numbers were tallied, we are excited to announce that AltaGas is the winner of the 2026 Highest Participation Rate Award — just beating out their competition by a very slim margin! 👏🔥

Congratulations to the entire AltaGas team on this impressive achievement, and thank you to every workplace and rider who participated and helped make this year’s event such a success.

🚲💙 Thanks to this incredible community, Bike to Work Day Calgary was proud to present a cheque for $4,744 to Two Wheel View!

Today, Lonny Balbi officially presented the donation on behalf of BTWD — and it’s all because of the riders, volunteers, sponsors, pit stop hosts, and supporters who helped make this year’s event such a success.

Two Wheel View does amazing work empowering youth through bikes, mentorship, and community connection, and we’re honoured to support their mission. 🚴‍♀️✨

Because of YOU, we counted an amazing 4,744 cyclists this year.

And as always, Lonny Balbi will be donating $1 for every cyclist — a total of $4,744 — to Two Wheel View to help empower youth through cycling.

Thank you to everyone who rode, volunteered, supported our pit stops, and helped celebrate cycling in our city. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier, more connected Calgary.
