We’re excited to see 7th Street shining a little brighter! ✨

ECCA recently installed new lights along 7th Street, adding some extra warmth and light to the neighbourhood as the days get shorter.

It’s a small change that makes a big difference, and we’re proud to keep finding ways to make Eau Claire an even better place to live, walk, and connect.

New public washrooms are coming to Eau Claire Plaza!

Construction is expected to wrap up near the end of October, adding a much-needed amenity to the plaza.

A quick heads-up in the meantime: on Monday, September 28, expect intermittent pathway disruptions near the washroom construction area. Short closures or detours may be needed as crews move equipment and complete work nearby.

Construction activity will also increase over the next five weeks, so you may notice more workers, deliveries, equipment, and noise during regular working hours.

Please follow posted signage and directions from crews while moving through the area.

A quick note about event noise in Eau Claire 🔊

We occasionally hear from residents about noise from festivals and events in the neighbourhood. Permitted events are required to follow conditions set by the City, including noise limits and required finish times. Organizers who don’t follow those conditions may face enforcement or fines.

If an event is too loud or running beyond its permitted hours, please report it to 311. The City tracks complaints, so reporting directly to 311 creates an official record and helps the City identify recurring concerns.

ECCA does not have the authority to enforce noise limits, issue fines or shut down events.

You’re always welcome to keep us informed about what’s happening in the neighbourhood, but if you want your noise complaint officially recorded, please make sure you report it to 311.
