Heads up, Eau Claire residents! 🚧

The City has updated the construction schedule for the Revitalize 8 Street S.W. project.

🔹 Water main replacement work will now start in June
🔹 Work at the 5 Avenue S.W. intersection has been delayed until later this year
🔹 The change helps maintain two-way traffic and keeps the project on track ahead of Stampede

Have Your Say on the Downtown C-Train Free Fare Zone 🚊

On May 26, Calgary City Council will vote on whether to end the Downtown C-Train Free Fare Zone.

The Free Fare Zone allows riders to travel between downtown C-Train stations without paying a fare, helping residents, workers, and visitors move around the core, access local businesses and services, and explore downtown without needing a car.

Supporters of the change have cited safety concerns as the key reason for ending the program.

If you have an opinion on the proposed change, now is the time to share it with your City Councillor.

For Eau Claire residents, your councillor is Myke Atkinson (Ward 7).

Starting June 7, Soccer City FC will bring free weekly soccer programming to downtown Calgary for youth ages 8–17. Whether your child is brand new to soccer or already loves the game, these sessions are designed to build confidence, skills, friendships, and community in a fun and welcoming environment.

The Ward 7 Office of Councillor Myke Atkinson is hosting a Community Ideation Session, bringing together residents from Chinatown, Downtown Core, Downtown West, Eau Claire, and East Village.
