Connecting trans and gender diverse youth, adults and families across Alberta w/ supports & services.

We are a not-for-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta. Having observed the barriers and stigma that transgender and gender creative youth experience and wanting to change those narratives, the Skipping Stone Foundation was formed to give youth positive and affirming opportunities surrounding their gender identity. Our mission is to empower transgender and gender diverse youth by providing them with the resources and opportunities to follow and achieve their goals and dreams.

Finding community can be complicated.

Sometimes it means looking for people who understand a part of your experience without needing a long explanation. Sometimes it means wanting more connection, more support, or simply somewhere that feels easier to breathe.

There is no “right” reason to look for community, and no right timeline either. 💛

Avery started Radical Mullet Tea after his own transition journey showed him just how many barriers exist for trans folks trying to live authentically. Legal name changes, healthcare navigation, the financial weight of it all, he saw it firsthand and decided to do something about it.

Every cup of tea sold helps fund Trans ID Clinics and gender affirming gear for Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse people across Alberta.

Support is not always about having the perfect answer.

Sometimes it’s about having someone beside you while you figure things out.

A lot of people navigating identity, healthcare systems, family dynamics, or community connection are doing it while carrying uncertainty, stress, or isolation at the same time. That can feel heavy really quickly.

Community-led support can make those experiences feel a little less overwhelming and a little more possible. 🏳️‍⚧️
