🚧 Cushing Bridge Replacement – Community Update

The City of Calgary is planning for the replacement of Cushing Bridge, which is nearing the end of its service life. A Functional Planning Study is underway to explore replacement concepts, review traffic concerns, and look at potential pathway improvements.

The City wants to hear from our community! 🗣️

Residents are encouraged to complete the online survey and share their thoughts on:

• Preferred walking and biking routes
• Pathway improvements
• Traffic delays and safety
• Other concerns near the bridge

🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL! 📚🎒

It’s hard to believe summer is coming to an end and another school year is here! 🍎✏️

To all the students in our community — we hope you have a fantastic year ahead! Whether you’re starting kindergarten, heading into high school, or somewhere in between, we’re cheering you on. 💛

A friendly reminder to our neighbours as well:
🚸 Watch for children and school buses
🚗 Slow down in school and playground zones
🚌 Give buses plenty of room to stop and load
👋 Keep an eye out for families walking and biking to school

Let’s work together to make sure everyone gets to and from school safely.

🚨 Protect Our Franklin C-Train South Parking Lot! 🚨

The City is proposing three 6-storey buildings with 386 housing units on the Franklin C-Train South parking lot (28 St & Radcliffe Dr SE), eliminating nearly 400 parking spaces.

The City's suggested alternatives are: • Pay to park at Grace Baptist Church (only about 200 spaces available) • Park across Memorial Drive—but those lots are already full!

A development permit application has been submitted for 2720 and 2750 Radcliffe Dr SE (Franklin Station South Parking Lot). This is a major project and members of the community should make their voices heard. Please note comments must be made before July 9th so there is no time to waste!
