🇺🇦 SECOND WIND CHARITY RUN / WALK 🇺🇦

We invite you to join the Second Wind Charity Run/Walk in support of the rehabilitation and recovery of Ukrainian Armed Forces veterans through the Second Wind initiative.

This year, Calgary will be one of 10 cities running together in unity to raise awareness about the ongoing war in Ukraine, support our defenders, and help raise funds for their recovery.

📅 Date: June 6,

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM

📍 Location: Peace Bridge

5 km run / 2 km walk

Your athletic level does not matter. Whether you are an experienced runner or simply want to come out for a walk in support of an important cause, what matters most is your presence and support.

💙 Registration: $15

💛 100% of proceeds will go directly toward supporting the initiative.

On May 28-30 UCC Calgary was able to host 3d Mobile Consular Service in Calgary.

We sincerely appreciate Consul Victoriia Bozhko for her commitment to make Consular service more affordable and easier for Ukrainian community in Calgary.

Second Wind Charity Run запрошує вас долучитися до нашого благодійного забігу/ходи на підтримку реабілітації та відновлення військових Збройних Сил України через ініціативу Second Wind. 🇺🇦

Dear Community,

You are warmly invited to attend a special book event featuring Canadian author and speaker David Chernushenko on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Cultural Centre in Calgary.

David Chernushenko is the author of the newly released book Standing with Underdogs, which explores issues of justice, compassion, and support for vulnerable communities. His presentations typically include a book reading, a discussion of the book's themes, a question-and-answer session, and an opportunity to purchase signed copies.

A portion of all book sales supports humanitarian and medical assistance for those affected by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, both in Canada and in Ukraine.

David also has a personal connection to Calgary, having been born here and having spent part of his early childhood in the city.

We encourage you to attend and to share this invitation with family and friends who may be interested.

Thank you, everybody who joined our Vyshyvanka Day event today.

Thank you, HUP and Skylark Art Studio, for your wonderful perfomances. Thank you, Rudenko, for hosting this event. Thank you, St Vladimir Ukranian Cultural Centre for having us at you space.

UCC Calgary invites all Calgarians join the event at St. Vlad's Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor at 2 pm for Vyshyvanka Day.

May this event will be a symbol of Ukraine - restoring and reviving after each brutal russian attack with heavy hearts, but still resilient.

At 3.30 pm join the Emergency Rally at Holodomor Monument.

Please, wear your vyshyvanka, bring Ukrainian flags and posters.
