This isn't your average AGM.
On International Permaculture Day, Carmen Lamoureux of Urban Farm School is opening her home and garden to us. We'll walk her Eco-Yard together, share a community potluck in happy-hour style, and hold our annual business in the most beautiful setting imaginable.
Carmen is one of Calgary's most respected permaculture educators, and her yard is an education on its own. Come learn, gather, and celebrate another year of growing this community.
Bring something local or homemade to share. All are welcome. Only current PCG members vote on AGM business. If you've been meaning to renew, this is your moment.

Join international permaculture educator Kenton Zerbin for an in-person talk on rainwater harvesting, from barrels to ponds. Practical, hands-on, and deeply relevant to Calgary's changing climate.

Kenton is on tour across Canada this spring, and there are plenty of ways to learn alongside him. Join the April 30 talk here in Calgary, drop into his free Wednesday webinars, or sign up for his workshop tour dates in Edmonton or Toronto.
Kenton teaches over a thousand students a year and has led projects from Barbados to northern Alberta. We're grateful to bring him to Calgary.

What if leadership didn't have to be lonely?

At PCG, we don't believe in hero leadership. We're governed using sociocracy, a collaborative, consent-based model where decisions get made across small, purpose-driven teams called circles. Each circle owns a specific area of our work, makes decisions together, and reports back to the larger board. No one person carries everything.

Sociocracy runs on a principle we love: "good enough for now, safe enough to try." Decisions don't need to be perfect to move forward. They just need to be something everyone can work with. It's a model built for real people doing real work together.

Our first Permablitz of the year is Saturday, and we'd love your muddy hands.
Come join the PCG in Canyon Meadows for a water harvesting overhaul. Rain tanks, downspouts, swales, and rain gardens, all while seeding a future food forest for the community. Hands-on learning, warm company, lunch provided (let us know your food preference when you register).
