The City of Calgary is gathering public feedback online to better understand how Calgarians walk, bike and travel through the Cushing Bridge area. Feedback will help identify preferred routes, pathway improvements, traffic delays and other local concerns.

The online survey will be open from August 21 to September 14, 2026.

Research Opportunity for Greater Forest Lawn Residents

The City of Calgary Innovation Lab is looking for community members to participate in a Neighborhood Inquiry Kit focused on food and community experiences in Greater Forest Lawn.

The kit contains simple, self-guided activities that can be completed at your own pace, including a journal, map activity, photo reflections, and short questions about your neighbourhood experiences.

We're interested in hearing from a variety of residents and experiences. You do not need any special knowledge or background in food-related issues to participate.

Participants who complete the kit will receive an honorarium as thanks, and and all materials will be provided.

The City of Calgary is running a free summer camp for children in Penbrooke out of the Bob Bahan Activity centre from Monday, July 6 to Thursday, August 13th . Here are the camp details:

Ages: 6-11

Date: Runs 4 days a week from Monday – Thursday July 6 – August 13, 2026

Time: (Drop off) 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.( pick up)

Location: Forest Lawn Activity Centre - 4812 14th Ave SE

Description: Come play games, make new friends, and develop a strong sense of community. Includes weekly swimming lessons.

Due to the nature of the camp, we only have limited spots available. There are only five spots available at this time, so if you are interested, please reach out to me as soon as possible.
