Get to know the artists performing at Braeside’s “Where Music Grows” event with the Chinook Musical Society on Sunday August 29 from 12pm-3pm.

Calgary’s own Jory Kinjo & Aaron Young are incredibly successful individually, but together, they have an unmistakable chemistry that truly shines with masterful musicianship, rich harmonies, and stories accumulated from years of friendship and collaboration. If you’ve never heard them before, you are in for a real treat as they blend blues, funk, reggae, and soul.

Jory Kinjo brings a unique history to his music and draws from his experiences playing and performing Soul, Ska, Reggae and Rhythm and Blues all over the world. From playing old-school soul music with long-standing soul band, Mocking Shadows, and warming the stage for Canadian tours for B.B. King, ZZ Top and Buddy Guy.

By the time Aaron Young was just 23 years old, he had already produced, arranged and performed on over 15 albums. You may have even seen the odd glimpse of his work on PBS, CBC, MTV, Bravo and the BBC. He has produced and/or played on
over 180 albums and played on over 7500 live stage performances spanning across the globe!

Hey Braeside!

Did someone misplace their RV? 🤔

A RV was parked at the community association last night and it is still there today. As there is an event first thing tomorrow, we need to have this moved this afternoon or we will need to have it removed*. If you are the owner or know the owner, please get it moved out of the lot ASAP.

Thank you and happy weekend to all!

*Removed at the owner's expense - and we really don't want to have to do that!
