Ask about openings in your section. A Calgary tradition since 1968, Foothills Concert Band is first and foremost about playing music. While this may seem obvious, other bands make their primary focus education or socialising. While both those elements have a place in our band, our band is keen on making music with a high level of musicianship. Over the course of the year, we hope to grow as a grou

p and as individual musicians. We contribute to the community by playing numerous concerts in the Calgary area, including free concerts in extended care and assisted living facilities, as well as in public places like Heritage Park. We are also pursuing joint concerts with school groups and other community music organisations of a similar nature. “Serving the community through music” is our motto.

Foothills Concert Band, under the direction of Michael Gardner and Anthony Reimer return for the first concert of the 2025/2026 season: Stories and Settings from Near and Far. Join us for an evening celebrating music that transcends local highways and vast oceans. We may even play some seasonal tunes to get us ready for the upcoming holiday season.

Join us on December 8th at Temple B’nai Tikvah - located at 900, 47 Ave SW.

Tickets are by donation, payable at the door

Hey everyone! We have almost reached the end of our incredible season! Please join us for one of the our final concerts this year, with special guests Henry Wise Wood High School band.

We will be performing some amazing works including: Johan de Meij: Symphony No. 1, mvmt. 5 — Hobbits, Giacomo Puccini/arr. Mark Williams: Nessun Dorma, and a very special surprise for those who love John Williams!

Monday June 2, 2025 @ 7:30p at the University of Calgary Rozsa Centre. Tickets are available at the door or through the University of Calgary Theatre services. Adults $20, Students/Seniors/Children $15.

Are you feeling rather...young at heart these days? Well so are we! Please join us for an all ages family and friends concert at Lakeview United Church (3023 63 Ave SW) on Monday, March 17th @ 7pm. Our concert will feature a trip to the circus, a march of stuffed Teddy Bears, a walk on the wild side with Rollo, and some Disney favorites among others!

Admission is by donation: e-transfer or cash accepted.

*There will also be a special bylaw meeting held during our rehearsal, so please come to hear about the changes we have made!

Come one, come all! We are excited to announce that tomorrow evening at 7:30pm we are having our holiday season family and friends concert. We have worked very hard this semester and are excited to have you join us in celebrating the holiday season! Please join us at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (18 Hidden Creek Rd NW) for an enjoyable evening featuring works from Leroy Anderson, Manual de Falla, Alfred Reed and many more!

Tickets are by donation with a recommended amount of $10. Cash or etransfer is accepted at the doors.
