Stock Your Freezer. Support Local Families. 🍗🥧

The Rotary Club of Calgary Heritage Park is hosting a Chicken & Pie Fundraiser—and this is one of the easiest (and tastiest) ways to make a real impact.

For just $100, you’ll receive:
âś… Four locally raised, flash-frozen chickens (approx. 6 lbs each)
âś… One homemade berry pie

All proceeds support the I CAN for Kids food security program, helping families in our community access healthy food.

đź“… Order deadline: June 5, 2026
📍 Pickup: 1–2 weeks later (Heritage Park parking lot)

👉 Here’s the ask:
Take a minute today to place an order—and consider ordering more than one bundle if you can. Stock your freezer, share with family, or even gift a bundle to someone else.

Every order makes a difference.
📩 message us directly—I’ll make it easy for you.

Let’s rally together and support a cause that truly matters

Our Rotary Club recently received a heartfelt message from Habitat for Humanity Guatemala, and it’s a powerful reminder of why our good work matters.

What started as a small effort has grown into something truly meaningful:
Year 1: $3,900 → 9 floors
Year 2: $10,000 → 21 floors
Year 3: $30,400 from 14 Rotary clubs → approx. 60 floors

For the families we serve, a concrete floor is more than just a floor. It means healthier homes, safer spaces for children, and a renewed sense of dignity.
Each family also receives an Ecofilter, providing clean, safe drinking water, something many of us take for granted.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Rotary clubs across Canada and the U.S. who came together to make this possible, and to our partners at Habitat Guatemala for the work they do every day.

Together, we’re not just building floors, we’re helping build better lives.

May is Rotary's youth service month!

In his monthly column for Rotary Magazine, Rotary International President, Francesco Arezzo takes a closer look at how Rotary's work helps young people build leadership skills, develop global understanding, and discover the impact they can make through service.

Our Rotary Club is proud to be taking the lead in a collaborative effort across multiple Rotary Clubs and Districts to support something truly meaningful in our community.

We are coming together to help create a dedicated “Rotary space” within the soon-to-be-built Breathing Space facility.

Breathing Space will serve as a “Ronald McDonald House–style” home for lung transplant patients. After surgery, these individuals must remain close to their medical team for anywhere from 4 to 12 months. During that time, the cost of temporary housing can become a significant financial burden for patients and their families.

This initiative is about easing that burden—providing comfort, stability, and a sense of community during what is often one of the most challenging periods in their lives.

It’s a powerful example of what we can accomplish when Rotary comes together with a shared purpose.

The Rotary Club of Calgary Heritage Park had a meaningful start to our Friday morning with a visit from Danielle Murphy of Hull Services.

Danielle shared the powerful history of Hull’s work in Calgary and the impact they continue to make for children, youth, and families facing complex challenges. Hearing about their commitment to safety, healing, and long‑term support was a reminder of how strong our community can be when organizations and volunteers work together.

As part of our club’s tradition of gratitude, we were proud to thank Danielle with a certificate showing that 20 children will be vaccinated against polio in her name. Rotary’s global effort to end polio remains one of the most important humanitarian initiatives in the world, and we’re honoured to extend that impact through our weekly speakers.

We’re grateful to Danielle for joining us at 7:00 a.m. and for the incredible work Hull Services does every day to strengthen the fabric of our city.

Proud to be part of a club that values learning, service, and community connection.

Our hearts are full after celebrating the end of our fourth year partnering with Bow Valley College on the Business Administration Mentorship Program.

This year brought together 86 amazing students and 14 Rotary mentors from our club — each one giving their time, experience, and encouragement across four different business disciplines. Watching these students grow in confidence and direction has been inspiring.

We wrapped things up with a lively networking night, full of great conversations and big smiles. One of the highlights was presenting two $1,500 scholarships to two incredibly deserving students. Their hard work and determination truly stood out.

Proud of our mentors. Proud of these students. Proud of what community can do.
