To bring together and engage our diverse community, demonstrate techniques of sustainable urban food production and inspire positive action. Our Vision
Create a beautiful, sustainable garden that will provide:

• Individual garden plots for a wide variety of residents in the Southwood area.

• Shared gardeni

ng spaces for growing friendships and food.

• Education and promotion of sustainable gardening practices throughout the community.

• A beautiful green gathering place within our community. In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we garden on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our garden at our plant sale last Saturday. Thank you to our vendors: Micheal and Kevin and to everyone who donated plants. Thanks to Diana Batten for buying my tomatoes and the social media shout out. Thanks as well to Circle Farms for the generous gift card donation for our door prize. Finally, It wouldn’t have happened without Emma’s energy and coordination. And good job Emma for taking these beautiful photos.

It was so nice to get into the garden 🪏 today. We do have a couple beds still available to rent for the season. For Southwood residents is $20/bed plus community association .community membership and for non Southwood residents it is $40/bed. Email me at [email protected] for more info.
