𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱

The CPSU/CSA has received a grant to design and deliver initiatives to strengthen the identification, assessment and control of Psychosocial Hazards in the Western Australian Public Sector.

This initiative is supported by the Western Australia Government through the Mentally Healthy Workplaces Grant Program, administered by the WorkSafe Group of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety, in collaboration with the Mental Health Commission.

Worker safety is a key pillar of union values and we look forward to working with agencies to deliver our program: Psychosocial Safety in Practice: A WHS Risk Capability Program for WA Public Sector Workers.

The CPSU/CSA stands against oppression and injustice whenever and wherever it occurs. We endorse the National Day of Action for Gaza on Sunday 11 October 2026.

Everyday people around the world will be demonstrating against the oppression and systematic destruction of the Palestinian people. Here in Australia, we call upon families, workers, students, young and old, to join the national march demanding the end of the Australian Government’s tacit support for genocide.

History demands we stand against the drive to gear our society towards ever more horrific oppression and war. It falls upon us to demand sanctions on Israel and the scrapping of arms deals.

We invite all West Australian workers to join the union contingent, led by UnionsWA at this protest.

We stand in solidarity with members of CPSU Tasmania following a Machinery of Government announcement, which will see members facing employer-led job cuts aka forced redundancies. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲.

State servants have been left incensed after learning more than 100 jobs are on the chopping block across two government departments, with the public sector union lamenting that forced redundancies are now inevitable.

On Friday, 4 September 2026, balloting opened for eligible WA Police members to vote on the latest offer presented for the 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to replace the current 2016 Agency Specific Agreement (ASA).

Following the close of the ballot, results have been tallied with an overwhelming majority, 92.5% of members who voted, choosing to 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧 the WA Police ASA offer.

Congratulations to members for securing this outcome! Check your inbox for further details of your newly accepted offer. Following members' acceptance of the WA Police ASA offer, your union will now work to finalise registration. Conditions will apply from the date of registration of the agreement with the WAIRC.
