THERE IS NO PLACE FOR POVERTY IN A CIVILISED SOCIETY!

More than 210,000 WA households consider their housing unaffordable. When too much of a household’s income goes towards a roof over their head, there’s nothing left for everything else people need to live.

That’s not ‘people doing it a bit tough right now’. That’s the complete failure of our economic system to deliver the basic fairness that allows a society to function.

SOME TRUTH FOR THE DAY!

Denouncing ethno-nationalism is NOT antisemitism. It’s humanity.

Shooting children, bombing hospitals, and depriving a people of access to medicine, food, and clean water is NOT self-defense. It’s genocide.

Silence in the face of the occupation and oppression of others is NOT neutrality. It’s complicity.

PEACE IS UNION BUSINESS

UnionsWA stands against oppression and injustice whenever and wherever it occurs. We endorse the National Day of Action for Gaza on Sunday 11 October 2026.

Everyday people around the world will be demonstrating against the oppression and systematic destruction of the Palestinian people. Here in Australia, we call upon families, workers, students, young and old, to join the national march demanding the end of the Australian Government’s tacit support for genocide.

History demands we stand against the drive to gear our society towards ever more horrific oppression and war. It falls upon us to demand sanctions on Israel and the scrapping of arms deals.

We invite all West Australian workers to join UnionsWA at this protest.

West Australian unions are calling on the WA State Government to reform workplace health and safety regulations to make sure that every worker in WA is treated with fairness, dignity and respect.

No worker should have to rely on luck to access clean and safe toilets and other essential amenities at work.
