What a great opening round of softball!!

Just a polite reminder for all umpires that association votes must be completed on both the scorecards before they are handed in to the canteen

We look forward to the first round of vets starting tonight. If you have nothing to do, 3 games at 7pm. Canteen and bar facilities will be available.

START OF SEASON TOMORROW!!

As we anticipate the start of the season, please be reminded that the umpires are volunteers, the coaches are there to support and the players just want to play.

Some nitty gritty;

The canteen is open all day. Anyone who is in there to work MUST be over 15, wearing enclosed shoes and a hat.
The bar is open from 12pm. Anyone who is working in here MUST have a valid RSA and provide the bar staff with a copy. They MUST have enclosed shoes on.
Please stay within the designated area with all alcoholic beverages.
The dugouts are ONLY for coaches, players, umpires and scorers.
Umpires MUST be registered with Softball WA.

A friendly reminder;

Junior duties are mandatory for senior teams, please ensure you have checked them and are up to date with the junior rules. THEY START TOMORROW!

For junior teams on Diamond 1, you must supply 1 person to help out in the canteen as per the fixtures.
For junior teams, each side must supply 1 base umpire per game.

For senior teams, you must supply 1 plate and 2 base umpires for each game that you have a duty for, this is as per the fixtures.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to the committee, they will be available all day.

The diamonds are marked. The canteen is stocked. And we are all are awaiting the first “Play ball”!

SEMSA Welcomes New Season and Pays Tribute to Dedicated Servants

SEMSA would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to retiring Treasurer Geoff Elefsen and retiring Vice President Royce Swinbourn for their many years of dedicated service to the association. We would also like to extend our thanks to Jasmine Swinbourn and Bailey Hart for their dedication in the canteen, your joy and laughter will be missed. Their commitment, hard work, and passion for softball have made a significant contribution to SEMSA and the wider softball community. We wish them all the very best in their retirement from these roles and thank them for everything they have done for the sport.

As we begin the 2026/27 SEMSA season, we warmly welcome all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and supporters from every club. A new season brings fresh opportunities, exciting challenges, and the chance to build lasting friendships through our shared love of softball.

We wish everyone a successful, enjoyable, and rewarding season both on and off the field. May the season be filled with great competition, good sportsmanship, and plenty of memorable moments as we continue to celebrate the game we all love.
