Painted Dog Conservation Inc A non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation of the African Painted Dog.

Established in 2003 in Australia, we support the conservation of the African Painted dog (or Painted Wolf). We focus on threat prevention, and support 7 projects in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. 100 years ago, there were 500,000 Painted Dogs across Africa, and today only approximately 7,000 exist. We provide resources and facilities to support research, treatment and care of sick and injured

Painted Dogs, rehabilitation of such dogs to be released back into the wild, education of the wider community on Painted Dogs and related wildlife issues We employ Anti-poaching Teams to remove the deadly wire snares from the bush, provide vehicles and motorbikes, radiotracking equipment, education supplies and local employment initiatives.

These are a few of the many road signs that Painted Dog Conservation are installing on the main road and the road leading through the wilderness area to the Hwange National Park Main Camp entrance.

This is one of the mitigation strategies they are implementing to combat the curent impact of traffic through this area due to the road diversion, in particular during the current denning season.

This is the reality of the traffic the painted dogs and other wildllife have to navigate due to the current road diversion in place through the wildnerness area near Hwange National Park.

This is NOT a main road.

Painted Dogs, elephant calves, hyena and other wildlife have been casualties.

We are supporting Painted Dog Conservation in their current mitigation efforts, incuding road signs and 24 hour presence on the roads in this critcal denning season.

Over the last couple of days we have had some amazing sightings of the painted dogs- from hunting activity to playing around a waterhole.

The Painted Dog Conservation team are working tirelessly around the clock to monitor the dogs - which are even more compromised by the traffic diversion through the wilderness areas and resultant increase in vehicles- particularly the continous flow of trucks.

Please help us raise much needed funds for through our current raffle for WA residents only with less than 70 tickets left, time is running out.
