We are based in Perth, arguably the remotest capital city on the planet. A city blessed with pleasant hills, overlooking a magical river flowing into the mighty Indian Ocean; a city of beautiful landscapes, overwhelming greenery and easygoing people. Here, in the South-Western corner of Australia, we have created our home away from home; a community of Bengali-Australians.

🏸 Celebrating Sport, Wellbeing & Community Spirit! 🏆

BAWA is delighted to celebrate the successful completion of the WA Community Badminton & Wellbeing Day 2026 at Kingsway Indoor Stadium, proudly supported by the City of Wanneroo.

What a wonderful day of energy, teamwork, sportsmanship and community connection! It was fantastic to see players, families, friends, volunteers and supporters come together — reminding us that the day was about much more than badminton. It was about wellbeing, friendship and strengthening our community through sport. ❤️

🏆 Congratulations to our Champions, Dibyendu Das & Barun Dutta, on their outstanding performance and well-deserved victory!

👏 Congratulations also to our Runners-up, Subhrakamal Talapatra & Sayanti Banerjee, for an exceptional effort and a thrilling final played with great skill and sportsmanship.
