This morning, we all came together nationally to recognise the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, and what a morning it was!

Our amazing head office staff, support worker staff, and wonderful clients joined | forces across VIC, SA & QLD to celebrate one of Australia’s most iconic fundraising events, raising funds for life-saving cancer research and reminding those affected by cancer that they are never alone.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply show up for one another. Safe to say, we showed up, and we ate well!

A huge thank you to every person who made today so special. This is what community looks like.

This May, the ONCALL | SACARE team are taking part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of Cancer Council.

For over 30 years, Biggest Morning Tea has been one of Australia’s most beloved fundraising traditions, bringing people together to raise money for cancer research, prevention, and support services that touch the lives of so many. With almost 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, it’s a cause that’s close to home for nearly all of us.

At ONCALL | SACARE, we’re proud to show up for our community in every way we can, and this is one small but meaningful way to do that.

We can’t wait to get the kettle on. 💛

As client support needs grow, funding often stays still. 🧡
 
It’s something families, support coordinators, and providers see all the time. Support needs change, routines become more complex, and hours start running short, but without the right evidence, that doesn’t always translate into increased funding.
 
Through ONCALL | SACARE’s flexible in-home respite and clinical assessment support, we help capture what daily support actually looks like in practice. Our time & motion assessments provide structured clinical evidence that can support plan reviews and funding reassessments.
 
Because often, the challenge isn’t knowing more support is needed. It’s being able to prove it.

This week is National Palliative Care Week 🧡

This year’s theme, “Getting to the heart of it: Big Questions. Real Answers.” encourages all of us to have more open, honest conversations about palliative care, end-of-life support, and what matters most to the people we love.

Some moments in life ask more of us than we think we can give. Palliative care is about making sure no one faces those moments without support.

People need to feel safe, respected, and like someone genuinely cares. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to at ONCALL | SACARE. Excellent support isn’t a goal, it’s a standard.

This week is a reminder that conversations matter. Support matters. People matter.
