Our anniversary event was a fantastic reminder that safer neighbourhoods only happen when we actively watch out for each other.

The true heart of Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse? Our volunteers.
At our 40th Anniversary celebration on 31 May 2026, we had the absolute privilege of presenting our 30-Year and 40-Year Service Awards.
Think about that for a moment: decades of dedicated, continuous service. Thousands of conversations, countless hours of problem-solving, and a quiet, steady commitment to making Whitehorse a safer place for everyone.
Whether you have been a volunteer for a few months or 40 years, you support us by reading and sharing our newsletters—THANK YOU. Your efforts are the foundation that inspires new members to step up and share their skills.
We are incredibly grateful for the legacy you’ve built and the next chapter we are writing together.

What an incredible afternoon! 🍰☕ On 31 May 2026, we gathered at the Box Hill Town Hall to celebrate a massive milestone—40 years of Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse keeping our community safe and "keeping crooks cranky!"
It was an honor to bring together our residents, local businesses, and partners, including representatives from Neighbourhood Watch Victoria, the City of Whitehorse, and Victoria Police.
From street meetings and letterbox drops in 1986, times have changed, but our core mission remains exactly the same: reducing preventable crime and looking out for one another.
Thank you to everyone who attended, shared stories, and explored our Community Expo. Here’s to the next 40 years of community spirit!

Today is the day!

This afternoon, Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse proudly celebrates 40 years of serving our community.
For four decades, local volunteers, police, community leaders and residents have worked together to help make Whitehorse a safer, more connected place to live.

What began in the mid-1980s has grown into a lasting community partnership built on the simple idea that looking out for one another makes a difference.

We look forward to welcoming our guests, recognising those who have contributed over the years, sharing memories from the past 40 years, and celebrating the people who continue to keep the Neighbourhood Watch spirit alive today.

A special thank you to everyone who has supported Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse throughout our journey. Today's celebration belongs to all of you.

Here's to 40 years of community, connection and safety—and to the future ahead.
