Clanbrooke Racing

Clanbrooke Racing Clanbrooke Racing Registered Syndicators with lead regulator ASIC, Clanbrooke Racing has been Syndicating and Managing racehorses for 12 years.

The 2007 G1 Crown Oaks (Arapaho Miss) our crowning glory to date, we have built a formidable stable that is performing well with 17% runners to winners for Season 2010/11 - and more city runners than ever before. With considerable expertise at our fingertips through our Professional Partnerships, Managing Director Dean Humphries undertakes a great deal of planning before purchases are made. Pedigr

ee analysis combined with thorough inspections and evaluations – all in conjunction with our Bloodstock Agent Kevin Dagg -ensure we are equipped to make informed assessments. Only after this exhaustive process are we able to wholeheartedly recommend our stable horses to prospective owners. Retaining shares in all our horses, we also have a vested interest to see our horses succeed! Clanbrooke Racing offer shares Australia-wide, as well as in Singapore. More recently, we have expanded to the English market, selecting youngsters with quality staying pedigrees with a long term eye on the Melbourne Cup. We manage our Partnerships on a day to day basis, liaising with trainers to facilitate the best possible outcome for each stable horse. Clanbrooke is not aligned with one trainer or one particular stable. Instead, we have established Partnerships with a number of Leading Trainers including Aquanita’s Robert Smerdon and Tony Vasil (Caulfield), Melbourne-Cup winning trainer Brian Jenkins (Cranbourne), Flemington-based Russell Cameron and Leading Country trainer Brian Cox (Wodonga), to name a few. We therefore have the flexibility to place our horses appropriately and, most importantly, ‘to advantage ,’in all situations. We tend to purchase in the `middle market’ – with shares generally around the $3K-$6K mark. We offer a variety of different options for potential owners – from 10% shares to 1% interests and interest free terms up to 6 months. We also offer Leased shares for those who just want to dip their toe in the water. We’ve proven that you don’t need to spend hundreds of thousands – or even millions – to enjoy success. Arapaho Miss was purchased for $22K and returned over $1.25m to members. One lucky member paid only $10 for her 10% leased share – the winner of one of our `share raffles.’

A family run business, we want the whole operation to have a `family’ feel and encourage owners to get involved, make new connections and have fun. Stable visits and regular owners events are organised to facilitate these connections and we encourage all Members to follow other stable horses racing in the Royal Blue and Gold. Ours is a terrific industry – one that can only get better with your participation as an owner. See www.clanbrooke.com for detailed information on shares currently available.

The Clanbrooke Team has 2runners on the weekend with Howlin Rain at Caulfield and Zuni at Devonport in Tasmania. Zuni is a last start winner at Hobart who steps out in Race 3 as a good Each Way chance again. Howlin Rain was just beaten last start at Caulfield and we expect a bold showing once again from our boy at quite juicy odds this week.
Good luck to all connections..

I only usually post our Wins on this page but what an effort from our boy Howlin Rain who ran a gallant second ( at very juicy odds )today at Caulfield after getting caught wide and forced to go forward. Our trainer Cindy took a throw at the stumps by placing him in a race much higher than his class, and he was up for the fight. Great ride too by stable apprentice Logan Bates who was very tactical in his journey.
Good to share it with our owners today.
Onwards and upwards for a good campaign from this boy.

Howlin Rain will be our next starter in Race 8 today at Caulfield, the Lamaros BM 100 over 2,000 meters.
Ferris has drawn very wide but has stable apprentice Logan Bates on board and will race with 52 Kgs which is a real plus. The track is currently rated a Soft 6 with a little bit more falling this morning.
The rail is out 12 meters which could make it tough for the back markers so let’s hope he jumps well and finds a position.
It’s quite a jump in class for H Rain but he is well weighted and if he gets luck in transit, he could be in the mix at the juicy odds of 14/1.
Good luck everyone.

Howlin Rain races first up from a spell at Mornington. ( Cup Day ) on Saturday. Luke Cartwright takes the ride over 1600 meters at 2.40 where he has drawn Barrier 4.
It’s not his pet distance but we expect the gelding to be competitive.
Best of luck everyone.

Our 2 Year Olds are starting to fly this season. Handee ( by Hanseatic ) has had one start for a second at Cranbourne.
Blue And Gold has had one start for a 3rd at Caulfield in a Black Type pedigree race.
And just this week our third 2 Year Old for the season, Sound Byte won a trial at Cranbourne and is ready to go to the races.
See details below of our latest horse with shares available. He is a cracking type and is almost broken in. If interested, p message me and I will send you the full details including videos of this athletic c**t.

Our 2 year old gelding Blue And Gold ( by Blue Point ) makes his debut in Race 3 at Caulfield tomorrow.
Stable Apprentice, Logan Bates takes the ride.
We are not expecting a great deal. It will be a good race day experience for him and we are quietly confident he will furnish into a nice 3 year old.
Best of luck to all our owners and connections.
And here’s Cheers to the Clanbrooke Colours of Blue And Gold.

We race tonight at Cranbourne with Handee ( by Hanseatic from Chickadee ) making her debut in Race 3 with Zac Spain the saddle.
We have drawn the outside Barrier on the tight Cranbourne track so she will need luck when they jump. If she jumps well, this filly could be coompetitive.
Best of luck to all owners and connections.

Zenacity will step out for her next run at Seymour on Tuesday.
She is set to race in the 8th at 4.30 on a Good 4 where accomplished hoop, John Allan will take the ride and jump from Barrier 8 in a step up in distance for her over 1429 meters.
We rate this honest mare an Each Way chance again.
Best of luck to all our owners and connections.

The last start winner, Zenacity will step out for her next run in the 6th at Cranbourne at 7.45 on Saturday evening , Jake Noonan takes the ride from Barrier 1 over the 1300 mtr journey.
Best of luck to all connections.

Note we scratched the mare from Seymour on Thursday due to the poor barrier and accepted for Cranbourne instead.
