What is “Just One Day”?
Just One Day is a campaign through International Needs Australia (INA), an overseas aid and development organisation. It challenges primary school students and their families to ‘live simply’ for Just One Day - all while learning about global poverty, fundraising to keep poor kids in developing countries in school... and having fun!
But, you don’t have to be a student to participate! Families, churches, groups and clubs can participate as well.
‘Living simply’ includes things like eating rice or oats, using water thoughtfully and going without screens or electronic equipment. Remember... it’s only for one day!
In exchange, participants are asked to gain monetary support from their friends and family to encourage them. This support helps INA continue working with poor communities overseas - ensuring that more children are protected and able to access basic education and healthcare.
