❀️ When Rhiannon was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS at just 26, life changed in ways she never expected.

As fatigue and weakness began affecting her daily life, activities that once felt routine became more challenging. Even going to the gym – something that had once given her confidence and strength – started to feel overwhelming.

But Rhiannon wasn't ready to give up on her goals.
Thanks to an MS Go for Gold Scholarship, she would be able to create a home gym space where she could exercise in a way that worked for her, at her own pace and in her own environment.

The scholarship would help remove barriers that had been standing in her way, giving her a safe and comfortable space to focus on her health, wellbeing and independence.

Stories like Rhiannon's are a reminder that sometimes the right support isn't about changing everything – it's about creating opportunities to keep moving forward.

❀️ If you're living with MS and have a goal, passion or project you'd like to pursue, an MS Go for Gold Scholarship could help make it possible.

"It was a very good day when I first came here."

After a prolonged hospital stay, Christine moved into MS Plus supported accommodation at Lidcombe Home. Since then, she’s settled in well – feeling safe and at home, reconnecting with the activities she enjoys and approaching life with renewed confidence and independence.

Supported accommodation isn't just about housing, it's about creating opportunities for people to live with greater confidence, wellbeing and connection.

❀️ At just 10 years old, Emlyn was diagnosed with MS.

For many families, a diagnosis like that can bring uncertainty, challenges and difficult questions about the future. For Emlyn and his mother, Tenaya, it meant learning to navigate severe migraines, mobility challenges, ataxia and dystonia – all while holding on to the things that bring joy.

For Emlyn, that thing is swimming.

In the water, he finds freedom, mobility and joy.

Last year, despite the challenges MS brings each day, Emlyn competed at the NSW State Swimming Championships, placing second in two events and breaking the NSW record for the 50m backstroke.

Now, he has his sights set on Nationals.

Thanks to an MS Go for Gold Scholarship, Emlyn can continue pursuing his dream, helping his family access the training, travel, recovery support and resources needed to get there.
Because this opportunity is about more than swimming medals.

It's about proving that a diagnosis doesn't define a person.
It's about creating opportunities, building confidence and helping people pursue the goals that matter most to them.
And it's a reminder that sometimes, the right support at the right time can help turn a dream into reality.

Your health journey starts on your plate. Fuel your body right.

It is important to eat a balanced diet that has high nutritional value.

Eating iron-rich foods such as red meat, chicken, salmon, eggs or plant-based options like legumes/lentils, leafy greens or wholegrain cereals plays an important role in the body. Iron assists with transporting oxygen around the body to create energy!

Support healthy iron levels by including iron-rich foods.
