A massive thank you to everyone who supported our annual Giant Monopoly Night, where we raised $8,500 for Backpacks 4 VIC Kids! 🥳✨

To celebrate, our members headed down to their HQ in Cranbourne West for their Annual Giving Day. We received a wonderful tour of the facility 🎒🎒, heard from founder Sally and the Federal Member for Holt, learnt about the important role corporate giving and volunteering plays for B4VK 🎙️ and scored some sweet giifts at the silent auction (shoutout to Ash's new turtle friend!) 🐢🐢

For their Annual Giving Day, Backpacks 4 VIC Kids raised over $100,000! 🥳🤩

Whitehorse Rotaract is incredibly proud to announce we have fundraised $8,500 for Backpacks 4 VIC Kids at our recent Giant Monopoly night! 🥳🥳

Last week we came together to roll the dice, bribe the banker, and collect $200 was we passed GO! Across the night, teams competed to form and solidify the ultimate monopoly! 🎲

Congratulations to the Thimble Team for taking home first place, with a whopping 16,000 Monopoly Dollars! 🏆🥇🏅

The funds raised will go to directly supporting and providing crisis packs and supplies for vulnerable babies, children and youth, supporting their journey throughout the hardships they endure.

Thank you to the team from Backpacks 4 VIC Kids for joining us, and to Sarah for sharing and speaking to the incredibly impactful work they do. 💚💜

This May, we're taking part in The May 50K to raise funds for MS Australia! As part of these efforts, we're hosting a walk along the Dandenong Creek Trail on Saturday 16 May! 🌲👟🏃

Date: Saturday 16 May
Time: 10 - 11 AM
Meeting point: 50th Anniversary Rotary Club of Dandenong Marker, near the corner of Foster Street and Pultney Street
Duration: approx. 45 mins one-way, with a very likely much needed coffee stop in between!

MS Australia empowers researchers to identify ways to treat, prevent and cure multiple sclerosis (MS), seeks sustained and systemic policy change via advocacy, and acts as the champion for Australia’s community of people affected by MS. We are proud to say that after only five days, Rotaract District 9815 has already raised over $400 for Multiple Sclerosis research and support! 🥇🏆

At this year's Giant Monopoly, Whitehorse Rotaract is proudly raising money for Backpacks 4 VIC Kids!

Founded in 2014, Backpacks 4 VIC Kids provides crisis and gift packs for Australian youth, children and babies. They also run multiple programs to support children in out of home care, emergency accommodation, who are victims of crime and domestic violence, or experiencing homelessness.

Over 10+ years, they have provided over 60,000 crisis packs to help change the lives of thousands of Australian youth.
