Business Referrers is having a fresh new format — designed to make networking more relaxed and meaningful.

We’re a not-for-profit group created to support small business owners through genuine connection, trusted referrals, and a space where you don’t have to “perform” to be part of the room.

This new fortnightly session is facilitated to help you quickly get to know who’s there and make the most of your time — without the pressure of formal pitches or presentations.

What to expect:
– A quick round-the-room introduction so you know who’s in the space and a brief guided educational piece to help you build your connections
– Time to connect naturally with the people who feel like the right fit
– A relaxed, supportive environment focused on relationships, not transactions

The details:
📅 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month
⏰ 7:45am – 8:45am (feel free to stay longer and build your connections)
📍 Harenochi Café at Business HQ, 268 Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills

The café offers coffee and a selection of muffins, danishes, croissants, and toasties — feel free to grab something, but there’s no obligation to purchase breakfast.

This new format is being trialled to cover running costs and keep the group going — and with the right mix of people in the room, it has the potential to become something really valuable.

If you’re looking to grow your network, build referral partnerships, or simply be around other business owners who get it… you’ll feel right at home.

Business Referrers Group is celebrating 10 years of networking success as an independent group.
We are holding a one-off evening networking event on Tuesday May 6, at Nini's Restaurant in Hawthorn, and Melbourne business operators are welcome to come along.
