In May 2026, the Lions Club of Hallett Cove & Districts celebrates 40 years since it was chartered as a member of Lions International.

The motto of Lions is β€œWe Serve” and in those 40 years we have served the local community of Hallett Cove, Sheidow Park and Trott Park.

Our club is one of some 48,000 clubs worldwide with a global membership of some 1.4 million in some 200 countries. We currently have membership of 50,

Over the years, the Lions Club of Hallett Cove & Districts has donated many $1000’s to local causes. Our constitution requires us to donate 100% of funds raised through our fundraising activities.

For 50 years we have operated our Santa Sleigh around local streets bringing joy to families and selling Lions Christmas cakes and puddings.

We have done countless sausage sizzles and cooked many thousands of sausages and patties.

Our signature event these days is the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, conducted on the foreshore reserve at Hallett Cove.

Our main fundraiser is our Op-Shop in the old shearing shed at Perry Barr Farm on Quailo Ave at Hallett Cove. We sell clothing, books, kitchen ware, bric-a-brac, electrical goods, DVDs and CDs and small furniture items. We aim to sell all our goods at low prices. Our Barn is also open on Saturday mornings for tea, coffee, Devonshire teas and breakfasts and low prices.

Come in and see us if you want to know more about what membership of Lions can bring.
