Young Engineers Australia SA YEASA organises various activities for engineering students & young professional members. To represent the interests of young engineers.

The primary objectives of the Young Engineers Australia - South Australia Division are:

1. To encourage participation by young engineers within the Institution.

3. To provide an understanding of the engineering profession to young engineers.

4. To support the education and personal development of young engineers.

5. To foster and encourage the exchange of information amongst young engineers and other members of the profession.

6. To recognise and promote excellence amongst young engineers.

7. To support and promote the engineering profession as a whole.

8. To explain and promote the role of engineers to the wider community.

9. To provide guidance to the Institution and the profession on matters affecting young engineers.

Our next speaker for the YEA SA Executive Breakfast 2026 is here!

Acting Chief Executive, Infrastructure SA

John leads strategic infrastructure advice to the SA Government, overseeing the stateโ€™s 20-Year Infrastructure Strategy, Capital Intentions Statement and project assurance.

His project experience includes the New Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Outer Harbour Channel Widening. He was also Adelaide Office Leader at Arup and is a proud University of Adelaide civil engineering graduate.

Sherry Tang is a Senior Systems Engineering Consultant at Nova Systems with over 9 years of experience in systems engineering. She has worked in areas across the Defence industry including Maritime, Land and Air and is currently working as part of the Digital Engineering Capability Team. With a passion for sharing knowledge, Sherry also instructs on courses such as the Essential Consulting Course and Fundamentals of Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE).
