This winter, our Hotel Services Team have crafted a warming seasonal menu for our Residential Care residents with their input at the heart of every decision.

Through menu design sessions and food focus groups, residents have shared their ideas, feedback, and stories about favourite family recipes, helping shape a menu that truly reflects their tastes and traditions, from classic comfort dishes to meals that celebrate the diversity of the people in our care.

We also offer a range of meal options to ensure every resident finds something that feels right for them.

Because great care shows up in every detail, including what is on the plate.

Did you know Respite Care can be a valuable first step when considering residential aged care?

At LHG, our Respite Care service provides short term support in a safe and welcoming environment, giving carers the opportunity to take a break while their loved one receives quality care.

Respite care can be planned ahead, such as when a caregiver is travelling or has appointments, or accessed in an emergency if unexpected circumstances arise.

Many families also use respite care as a way to experience life at LHG before deciding on permanent residential care and to get to know our team and community.

Our Learning & Development Team have been working with MILCO media + design to film our own digital training videos for our Home & Community Support and Hotel Services teams. Because who better to feature than the people who do this work every day, learning from one another.

Meet Sarah, our General Manager, Residential Care at our Horsham site.

Sarah has spent 10 years in aged care, and her passion for older people and the teams who care for them shines through in everything she does. Since joining LHG, she has focused on nurturing and developing her team, fostering a culture of growth, learning and continuous improvement.

She finds real satisfaction in seeing her team embrace change with enthusiasm and dedication, and loves being part of an organisation that shares her passion for what great aged care looks like.

What a wonderful evening!
We had the honour of celebrating two of our incredible volunteers, Keith Karp from Glynde and John Schwerdt from Fullarton, who were nominated for the Volunteering SA & NT 2026 South Australian Volunteer Awards, held at the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

They were invited to attend with their partners to honour their recognition, reflecting the meaningful contributions they make to our sites every day.

Manager, Lifestyle & Volunteers, Tane Cureen, has been a passionate advocate for our volunteers and was thrilled to celebrate with them on such a special evening. Their recognition is a reminder of the incredible impact our volunteers have right across LHG.
