🐾 Happy Tails: Jacko 🐾

We love receiving updates from our adopted animals!

Jacko is settling beautifully into his new home, where he enjoys swimming at the dam, playing fetch, going for car rides, and apparently taking up the entire bed at night! 😄

His family told us adopting Jacko was "the best decision we've ever made."

Thank you for giving this deserving boy the loving home he deserves. ❤️

🎉 SUPER HAPPY NEWS OF THE MONTH! 🎉

After patiently waiting for his forever family, our much-loved long-term resident Stanley has finally found his happily ever after! ❤️

There were so many of us cheering for this special boy and hoping the perfect home would come along. Well, it finally did! Just look at that grin — we think it says it all. 😍

Stanley has captured the hearts of staff, volunteers, foster carers and supporters alike during his time with us, so seeing him head off to start this exciting new chapter is incredibly rewarding.

Congratulations, Stanley! We couldn't be happier for you and your new family. Thank you for giving this wonderful boy the forever home he has been waiting so patiently for.

🐾 LONG-TERM RESIDENTS SPOTLIGHT 🐾

Today we’re shining the spotlight back on two very special souls who are still waiting for their forever homes — Mogwai and Moto.🐱🐶

Mogwai, our black and white tuxedo girl, is pure sass wrapped in fur. She’s affectionate… but only when she decides it’s time. She loves attention, just on her own very important terms (as all queens do 👑).

Moto, our big Ridgeback boy, is the definition of a gentle giant. Soft-hearted and sweet, he has the cutest habit of suckling on his soft toys when he’s relaxed — a little quirk that shows just how sensitive and loving he really is.

Both are currently thriving in foster care, but what they truly need is a place to finally call home.

🩷🐾 At RSPCA, we are always looking for new ways to keep our animals happy, engaged, and mentally stimulated while they wait for their forever homes. ✨️

Enrichment activities play a huge role in reducing stress, building confidence, and improving overall wellbeing.

We're reaching out to our amazing community to see if anyone can help by donating any of the following items:

🎾 Tennis balls

🧩 Puzzle feeders

🐕 Treat-dispensing balls

👅 Licki mats

🌱 Snuffle mats

🧁 Muffin trays

🥣 Food preparation tubs

🥚 Empty egg cartons

🥛 Washed empty milk cartons

These items help us create fun enrichment activities, training games, and feeding challenges that keep our dogs, cats, and other animals entertained and stimulated throughout their stay.

If you have any of these items spare and would like to donate, we'd be incredibly grateful! Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during opening hours.

🐾 A special shout-out to our friends at 'A Safe Place for Meow' for their kind tag and ongoing dedication to helping cats in need. 🐈

We were so happy to be able to assist with sweet little Scout, who recently required a tail amputation.

Thanks to the teamwork between our organisations and the care of our veterinary team, Scout has recovered beautifully and is now thriving! 😻

Stories like Scout's remind us what can be achieved when rescue groups, charities, and animal lovers work together to give animals the second chance they deserve.

We can't wait to see what the future holds for this gorgeous little kitten. 💕🐱

💛 A tiny tail. A big second chance.

Scout came into our care at just 5 weeks old alongside her four siblings. It quickly became clear that she needed tail surgery to give her the best chance at a happy, healthy future.

We're incredibly grateful to the team at RSPCA Northern Territory RSPCA Darwin Vet Hospital for helping this tiny kitten get the care she needed.

Today she's recovering beautifully, growing stronger every day, and enjoying being a kitten. 🐾

Rescue is about more than finding homes. Sometimes it's about making sure cats and kittens receive the veterinary care they need before they're ready for their next chapter.

🐾 Happy Tails: Apple & Banana 🐾

After waiting almost a year for their forever home, Apple and Banana are now living their best lives.

Although they were a little shy at first, they've settled in beautifully, enjoying a safe home, a backyard to explore, plenty of comfy beds, and lots of love. They've even made a new friend, Maggie the Border Collie!

Apple has become a champion cuddle-bug, and both cats come running at supper time when they hear the food packet rustle.

Thank you to their wonderful family for giving these two the happy ending they deserved. ❤️

Day after day, kennel after kennel, Stanley watches other dogs pack their bags and head off to their forever homes. Meanwhile, he's still waiting for someone to choose him.

Stanley has been one of our longest-term residents, and while our staff and volunteers absolutely adore him, what he really deserves is a family of his own. A comfy bed. A backyard to explore. A human to love.

To help Stanley finally get the happy ending he's been waiting for, we've reduced his adoption fee to just $100.
