CAAPS was proud to support an important social research project led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned and operated recruitment company Murrie Connections, in partnership with Whereto Research and commissioned by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.

By supporting participation from current and former clients, CAAPS helped ensure community voices, lived experiences, and perspectives were heard. Through culturally safe yarning spaces, participants shared honest insights on illicit drug use and its impacts.

With support workers walking alongside them, participants were empowered to speak openly, contributing to community led knowledge that can help shape future policy and programs.

This work reflects the strength of culturally informed collaboration and keeping community at the centre.

CAAPS remains committed to supporting our mob and strengthening outcomes. Now and into the future.
