📢 HAVE YOUR SAY: Gender Equity in NT Music, Five Years On MusicNT is reviewing gender equity across the Northern Territory music industry. We are following up on the You Gotta See It To Be It report (2021), which highlighted widespread gender-based disadvantage in the sector, we want to check in and see where things stand.

We want to hear directly from YOU.

It’s time to take stock. What’s improved? What hasn't? What should the priorities be for a safe, fair, and equitable NT music industry for all?

The next 12 months are shaping up to be much quieter than they should be with both SRO Events's Electric Storm and Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival pushing pause on their next events. Both events shape the vibrancy of Darwin and the broader Territory and this isn't solely a conversation around subsiding events, but more a conversation around what we want this place to be. Without these celebrations what story are we telling about the Territory and it's attractiveness to travellers and more importantly, locals?
