Get to know Rachael Wallis - accomplished dancer and choreographer with over 30 years experience in contemporary and traditional dance practices.

Rachael and Guruguru Marika host our final masterclass for the year: Approaches to First Nations' Dance.

This is a workshop in Country Connections, focussing on movement that connects us to country, bringing in elements of the seasons.

Art is essential. For our community. For our culture. For our wellbeing.

Picking up on the negativity and fear-mongering in the world in 2025, Tracks set about creating an Antidote.

With a government that refused to acknowledge Country, we staged an enormous ceremony where Larrakia elder Nadine Lee greeted and received waves of visitors to this land, and joined them in dance and story.

Antidote: A Remedy for Now was a joyful and sincere celebration of humanity, in the glow of the sunset, under the watchful branches of the sentinel Milkwood trees.

A Tracks show grows from living in this place.

Zombies in the Banyan Tree (2013) reflected on a period of great change in Darwin.

It drew inspiration from technological disconnection, battles of good and evil, and the influence of our closest neighbours in Bali - where minor deities, nature spirits and celestial musicians are believed to dwell in the sacred Banyan tree.

A truly unique explosion of street dance and Kecak, Balinese choirs and beatbox, butterflies and demons.

In 2011, a chance conversation with our costume designer about her parents revealed a truly Territory love story that just had to grow into a show!

Crocodile Man Pineapple Woman was born from the true story of a Hungarian crocodile hunter and a glamorous Thai pineapple seller - A fever dream of tropical markets, the heat and danger of the crocodile hunt and the flair of a 70’s big night out.

Today we are branching out to East Point, for a very Darwin Romeo & Juliet tale - Struck.

Tracks has always been passionate about providing fertile ground for young people to create. Struck saw 40 young dancers traversing break to swing against the backdrop of the Bombing of Darwin.

18 years on, we love seeing what these incredible performers are doing now (like becoming our marketing and administration officer and dressing up in her old costume, for example).

Keep nurturing the future of NT talent this by becoming a regular Tracks donor.
