CROCS KEEP THE WINNING RUN ALIVE AT NORBUILT 🐊🏉

The Crocs MPL scored a gritty win at Norbuilt Oval, overcoming a determined PINT Football Club outfit 11.6 (72) to 6.10 (46) to remain unbeaten in the 2026-27 season.

Played in the aftermath of a heavy downpour, the contest was a test of composure and ball control, with both defences making life difficult in the opening term. Mitchell Bidmade struck early for the Crocs before Beau Schwarze added a second late in the quarter, giving the home side a 13-point advantage at the first break.

PINT found some momentum in the second, but Districts had answers. Seth Smith marked strongly and Stanley Waistcoat provided the highlight of the night, his second goal coming from a brilliant snap that brought the home crowd to its feet. Yes, pictures of said snap are here👇

The Crocs began to take control after half-time. Wyatt continued to give the midfield first use, while Jarred Joyce and Jed Anderson capitalised up forward as Districts stretched the margin. PINT battled on, but their inaccuracy in front of goal proved costly against a Crocs side that made the most of its opportunities.

Smith added another in the final term to help put the result beyond doubt. A late goal from PINT offered some consolation, but the Crocs had done enough to secure a hard-earned home victory.

It wasn't always pretty in the wet, but the Crocs found a way to get the job done. The unbeaten run continues.

With the weather threatening and the rain looming, the Crocs women took to Norbuilt Oval knowing they had a point to prove against a Pint side that has long set the benchmark in the Women’s Premier League. What followed was a commanding performance, as Southern Districts seized control early and never let go, running out 44-point winners in the wet.

The Crocs came out firing in the opening quarter, piling on the pressure and opening up an early lead. Jenna Gee was dominant inside 50, well supported by Cate Twaddle, as Southern Districts made the most of their opportunities.

Then the heavens opened. With the ball becoming increasingly difficult to handle, clean possession was at a premium, but the Crocs refused to let the conditions dictate the contest. Maddie Shaw provided plenty of firepower up forward, while Sarah Carbone and Olivia Gee found the goals as the margin continued to grow.

As the rain eased in the third, Zarli Stafford found her way into the centre to goal, while the Crocs continued to frustrate Pint, who struggled to convert their opportunities. Bella Clarke was influential throughout, working hard through the midfield and driving the ball out of defence to keep Southern Districts on the front foot.

The Crocs finished with another strong burst in the final quarter, registering six shots at goal. Olivia Gee and Mackenzie Bourne added behinds, while Jenna Gee found the goals again and Bella Clarke added to her tally to put the finishing touches on an emphatic afternoon.

A terrific team performance from the Crocs women, who handled the soggy conditions, made their opportunities count and delivered a statement win over one of the competition’s most accomplished sides.

The Crocs turned on the afterburners at Norbuilt on Saturday afternoon, producing a commanding performance to run away with a 33-point victory over Pint.

It was a highly energetic affair in the afternoon heat, with a threatening sky looming over the ground. Pint came out firing, kicking four goals in the opening quarter to take a 25–6 lead at the first break.

The Crocs responded in style. Finding their rhythm and lifting the intensity, they piled on 25 points in the second quarter while keeping Pint scoreless to turn the game on its head. At half-time, the Crocs had surged into a 31–25 lead.

There was no letting up after the main break. The Crocs continued to build their advantage, adding 21 points in the third quarter before finishing strongly in the last to seal an emphatic 80–47 win.

From a 19-point deficit at quarter-time to a 33-point victory at the final siren, it was a terrific turnaround from the Crocs Reserves, who found another gear when it mattered.

🐊 AROUND THE GROUND | ROUND 4 🐊

Our first home round of the season went off with a bang! A great crowd turned out to watch the Crocs take on Pint in the Reserves, Women’s and Men’s competitions, despite the threat of rain. The weather gods certainly delivered on that front, giving us a soggy oval and plenty of water for the kids to enjoy between quarters! 🌧️🏉

It was a great afternoon at Norbuilt, with footy, families and plenty of atmosphere around the ground. The drinks were cold, the food kept everyone fed, and the kids made the most of every opportunity to get out there and have a kick.

Round 4 was also our Sponsor Appreciation Round, and we want to thank the businesses who continue to get behind our Crocs. Your support helps make days like this possible, and we appreciate every one of you. A special thank you to Quality360 Pty Ltd for supporting the day with the mobile bar.
