It’s not too late to complete the Census. 📝

Every five years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics counts every person and household in Australia. This is called the Census of Population and Housing.

If you need help completing the Census, there are support services available in Merri-bek:

➡️ VincentCare Northern Community Hub
📍 175 Glenroy Road, Glenroy
📅 This centre is operating as a Census Hub from 9am to 1pm everyday until Friday 14 August

➡️ Brunswick Neighbourhood House
📍 43A De Carle Street, Brunswick
📅 Drop in on Wednesdays between 12pm to 2pm. Bring your own device (phone, laptop or tablet) to complete your form

➡️ Balam Balam Place
📍 15 Phoenix Street, Brunswick
📅 Weekly support hub available every Monday from 10am to 2pm

➡️ Community Information & Support Merri-bek
📍 512 Sydney Road, Coburg
📅 Monday to Thursday between 10am to 2.30pm

It's nearly 2026 Census – Australia time! If you would like help filling in your Census form online or need help getting your unique code, please call us and one of our Community Support Workers can assist you in person or over the phone.

2 days to go! Census night is 11 August, if you know where you will be that night you can complete your Census now.

Go to census.abs.gov.au/help for information on how to complete the Census.

We are in urgent need of a Delivery Driver to help with our Foodbank pick-ups. The role will require you to be able to lift heavy items (no more than 8kgs).

When? Tuesday mornings from 9am-11.30am

Where? From your home to Foodbank's warehouse in Altona, then to CIS Merri-bek in Coburg

What is required? Your own car, comprehensive insurance, valid drivers' licence, a WWCC (free for volunteers) and we will complete a Police Check on your behalf. Reimbursement for travel expenses also included.
