Northern Woodturners

Northern Woodturners We are a group of people who learn and promote the art/craft of woodturning & train new woodturners.

The Northern Woodturners Club was formed in February 1992 and initially operated out of the Salvation Army hall in Thornbury. In 2009 the club moved to its present location in Kingsbury, Victoria very close to LaTrobe University. The club meets monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM. There is a short business meeting followed by a show and tell session for those wishing to display the

ir work. This is a great opportunity to see the different types of work other members are doing and to talk with them about about how they produced them. After morning tea there is often a speaker, a demonstration of a woodturning technique or skill or some other activity. Weekly woodturning workshops are held:
- Tuesday evening 7:00 – 10:00 PM
- Wednesday morning 8:00 – Noon
- Thursday evening 7:00 – 10:00 PM
