❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You from Our Daily Bread! ❤️

Our Daily Bread extends its heartfelt gratitude to Anthony Cianflone MP and the Hon. Luba Grigorovitch MP for their support and efforts in helping secure this vital $60,000 grant!

We are especially grateful to Anthony, whose genuine care for our community is reflected not only in his words, but in his actions. His willingness to listen, understand the needs of those experiencing hardship and actively work towards making a difference means so much to us.

This much-needed funding will help us continue providing food relief, extending our reach and bringing nourishment, dignity and hope to vulnerable individuals and families across Melbourne’s north-west.

At Our Daily Bread, we believe that compassion is love put into action, and we are deeply thankful to those who help us turn that compassion into meaningful support for others.

☀️ Another beautiful week at Our Daily Bread! ❤️

This week, we enjoyed the simple pleasures of sharing a meal, spending time together and making the most of the beautiful sunshine. It's these moments of friendship, connection and community that make Our Daily Bread so special.

On Sunday, our food truck fundraiser was held in loving memory of Basilis Kourtesis.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Kourtesis family for their generosity and kindness in supporting Our Daily Bread in his memory. What a beautiful way to honour a loved one — by helping us continue to nourish and care for those in need.

A little warmth, even on the coldest and wettest of days. ❤️

Yesterday, as the rain continued to fall, our volunteers were still there — preparing, serving and welcoming members of our community with open hearts.

Because kindness doesn’t stop when the weather turns, and neither does our commitment to those who need us.

At Our Daily Bread Nourishing With Love, it has never been just about providing a meal. It’s about offering comfort, connection and the reassurance that someone cares.

Every Thursday evening, we come together to provide free, freshly prepared hot meals to those doing it tough, reminding one another that no one should have to face difficult times feeling forgotten or alone.

Showing up for our community starts with a warm meal. ❤️

Every Thursday evening, Our Daily Bread Nourishing With Love opens its doors to support our community with wholesome, freshly cooked meals. We are here to provide a warm, free meal to anyone in need of a helping hand.

When: Thursdays, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Where: St Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church, St Albans (22 Marsden Crescent / Maiden Street)
What: Free, fresh, hot meals handed out to anyone needing extra support.

At the heart of every single meal is a team filled with love and compassion. From our wonderful volunteers pouring their heart into cooking in the kitchen and handing out meals with warm smiles, to the caring supporters whose generosity fills our pantry—it truly takes a village to care for one another.

To everyone who gives so selflessly—whether you’re chopping vegetables, handing out meals, donating funds, or sharing our posts—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness keeps our kitchen glowing and our neighbours cared for every single week.

Tonight’s Our Daily Bread community dinner was generously offered in loving memory of Margaret Stegelman 🤍☦️

There are few more beautiful ways to honour the memory of a loved one than through an act of love and giving — feeding those in need and bringing people together around a shared table in her name.

May this offering be a blessing to all who shared in tonight’s meal, and may Fotini’s memory live on through the kindness shown to others.

We also had the joy of celebrating the 50th birthday of the inspiring Angelique, co-founder of Lean on Me. 🎂❤️

Every Thursday, the Lean on Me participants are a driving force behind the preparation of our food parcels and the packing of our outreach meals. They proudly tell us that this is their way of giving back to the community — and we couldn’t be prouder of the contribution they make each week.
