Every worker has the right to come home safe at the end of the day.

But new Safe Work Australia data shows 222 workers were killed at work in 2025, the highest number in more than a decade.

Workplace safety isn't a nice-to-have. When businesses cut corners on safety, it's workers who pay the price.

It’s Labour Day in the ACT!
We celebrate the workers who fought for the eight-hour day! ➡️8 hours work, 8 hours rest, 8 hours recreation, a simple idea that changed working life for generations. UnionsACT honours their fight and celebrates the right of every worker to have time to rest, enjoy life, and be with the people they love. If you are working today, THANK YOU!!!🚩🚩🚩
