ANMF ACT supports ACT teachers and doctors taking industrial action today.

Whether you're shaping the next generation or caring for our community, workers deserve respect, fair pay, and conditions that reflect the value of the work they do.

Strong public services rely on the people who deliver them every day — and those people deserve to be valued.

We stand with you. ✊ Australian Education Union ACT

⏰🚨ACT Teachers Strike⏰🚨
Value our teachers, the ACT Government must resource the future ACT students deserve. It’s time to turn on those listening years!

🚨 ACT public schools will be closed from 8:30am–10:30am on Friday 22 May during our historic stop work action.

The Government’s decision to close schools shows exactly what educators have been warning: the system is under enormous pressure, and schools are increasingly being held together by goodwill.

For years, educators have been papering over the cracks to make sure students continue to get the support they deserve. Friday’s action will make those cracks impossible to ignore.

We are taking action because our students deserve better:
📚 properly staffed schools
📚 manageable workloads
📚 real support for students and staff
📚 a sustainable public education system

If you’re an AEU ACT member, don’t forget to RSVP to the stop work meeting (link in bio)

Solidarity with the incredibly hardworking staff at ACT Housing who are fed up with an insulting pay offer by the ACT Labor Government. They walked off the job yesterday. This is just the beginning, strike action will continue until they are taken seriously in this cost of living crisis.
