CCERC members about to celebrate 500 meetings with cake!
The Club also hosted a special guest speaker, David Williams AM. David founded the Confident Speakers program at the ACT Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Association, dedicating decades to helping individuals with intellectual disabilities find their voices and build public speaking confidence.

The grand final of the 2026 ACT Rostrum debating competition was held on 14 October and the topic was 'that the voting age should be lowered to 16'. The Canberra City Evening Rostrum Club team comprising Andrew S, Richard E and Abi S prevailed over the Phillip Rostrum Club team comprising Phil D, John B and Ted H.
