40 years of community, connection and support đź’ś

Last week, our Parkinson’s ACT community came together at LDK Amberfield to celebrate an incredible 40 years of supporting people living with Parkinson’s, their families and carers across the ACT.

It was a special afternoon recognising the volunteers, supporters, staff and community members who have helped shape Parkinson’s ACT over four decades - and celebrating the people who continue that work today.

We were also pleased to welcome Dr Marisa Paterson MLA, Minister for Health and Mental Health, and introduce our new Parkinson’s ACT Community Nurse, Beth Lai, with another member of the nursing team joining shortly.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to LDK Amberfield for helping us mark such an important milestone.
Here’s to the next chapter. 💜
