MusicACT MusicACT advocates and promotes music in our great capital. Music resonates through our culture.

People need to be reminded of the important role music plays in our lives. MusicACT formed to strengthen this role by opening access to all aspects of the music industry including legal advice, assistance to launch outside of the ACT or advance a music related concept, as well as political lobbying, advising, and, of course, professional development.

MusicACT annual fundraiser 💙

Committee member, Mitch Lamb, shares some thoughts about the important work we do in ACT and the impact donations have on increasing our music scene’s visibility on a national scale.

“As someone whose been apart of this scene as a musician, events organiser, advocate, for the better part of 15 years, I really see MusicACT as the lightening rod that our community can coalesce around to begin to uplift and become part of the national music scene…
I really couldn’t think of a better organisation to support if you want to see Canberra’s music scene get the recognition and support that it deserves.“

Calling all original live music venues ✨

📍Registrations are now open for the Australian Music Touring Network (AMTN). To sign up and for more info: www.australianmusictouringnetwork.com/venues

The AMTN is a free national platform connecting venues, artists, tour managers and industry professionals across the country.

Launching publicly in late 2026, AMTN will bring Australia’s original live music venues together in one map-driven directory — making it easier for the industry to find venues, access the right information and build connections.

MusicACT is a proud member of the who are bringing you the AMTN. We warmly encourage all ACT’s venues to register 🎶
