This Friday is Fatality Free Friday 💛

CFS volunteers see the heartbreak of road trauma far too often. Behind every road fatality is a family forever changed.

This Friday, we’re asking all South Australians to slow down, stay focused and make safe choices every time you drive.

One decision could save a life.

Join the journey towards a fatality-free future. 🚗

Behind every CFS volunteer is someone carrying the weight of what they see, hear and experience on the frontline ❤️

That’s why one of the CFS Foundation’s most important initiatives is the funding of dedicated CFS Wellbeing Officer, Jana.

Made possible through the support of SA Power Networks , this role provides proactive mental health and wellbeing support to the volunteers who spend their lives protecting others.

🚒 Twisted metal. High pressure. Seconds counting.

14 CFS volunteers from Regions 1, 2 and 4 spent a weekend at the State Training Centre pushing themselves through intense Road Crash Rescue training designed for the moments no one ever wants to face 💥🪓🛠️

With realistic rescue scenarios, fast decision making and hands-on extrication training, members built the skills and confidence needed to respond when lives are on the line across South Australia.

This training is tough, confronting and incredibly important ..and these volunteers continue to step up for their communities every single time. ❤️

A massive thank you to all the trainers and volunteers who made the course happen, and to our major sponsor RAA for helping make this life-saving program possible.

We’re proud to see the new truck delivered to the Jervois Brigade and excited that they’re among the first brigades in the state to receive the newest Isuzu model for the CFS.

As one of the major sponsors of the CFS Foundation, Northeast Isuzu is committed to supporting the volunteers who do so much for their communities, and it’s fantastic to see these vehicles out in service.

Happy 50th Birthday to our wonderful CFS Foundation Ambassador, Brenton Ragless 🎉❤

Brenton has long been a passionate supporter of the country fire service community, with a connection to the CFS that began as a young boy alongside his dad at the local brigade, before later becoming a firefighter himself.

Through his work with Channel Nine, Brenton has become a familiar and much-loved face across South Australia, but it’s his kindness, humour and genuine care for community that make him so special.

Thank you for your incredible support of the CFS Foundation and the volunteer community over so many years.

From all of us at the CFS and the CFS Foundation, we wish you a fantastic 50th birthday filled with love, laughter and celebration ❤🚒

This National Volunteer Week, Crow's forward Darcy Fogarty has shared his appreciation for CFS volunteers after experiencing firsthand the impact of bushfire on his family’s property in Lucindale in 2019 ❤️🚒

Stories like Darcy’s are a reminder of the incredible commitment, courage and community spirit shown by CFS volunteers right across South Australia.

Did you know former Adelaide Football Club Captain and current assistant coach, Nathan Van Berlo is also a proud CFS Foundation Ambassador?

Nathan recognises the incredible contribution CFS volunteers make in protecting communities across South Australia, often putting their own lives on hold to help others during times of emergency.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of ambassadors like Nathan, helping us raise awareness for the important work the CFS Foundation does in supporting volunteers and their families ❤️

To celebrate National Volunteers week, Darcy Fogarty shares his story
