Years of trust-building and education in Lukodi have led to more mothers choosing safe, midwife-assisted births. This incredible progress is now at risk as essential support for clinic consumables has been withdrawn. 💔
For families in Lukodi, the cost of these basic supplies is a huge barrier, forcing some back to dangerous home births.
Your donation today can change this. Help us provide essential maternity consumables, ensuring every mother and baby receives the safe care they deserve.

The World Health Organisation has declared the Ebola outbreak in Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This situation is critical for our partners at Lukodi Health Clinic, who have been put on high alert for signs and symptoms, requiring contactless thermometers, and personal protection equipment for employees. Together, we are praying for and committed to supporting these communities through this challenging time.

At Lukodi Health Clinic in Northern Uganda, access to healthcare can mean walking more than 8km on foot - often with children in tow.
In this conversation, Charles Okarma speaks with Jack Snelling about the life-changing impact the clinic is having on the community.
For many people, this clinic is the difference between receiving care or going without it entirely.
Every patient and every vaccine is possible because of the support of people who believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone.

An update from our partner Dorcas Creation in Kenya -

Hope is growing through the Nawiri Mama program.
From January to March 2026, 75 children received therapy support, 12 new children joined the program, and 5 children were successfully discharged after reaching important milestones.
Families are also being supported beyond therapy, with counselling, home visits, peer support, and practical skills training helping caregivers build confidence, resilience and income opportunities.
Thanks to your support, children are gaining greater mobility, independence and wellbeing, while families are being empowered with hope for the future.

Severe flooding has devastated large parts of Nairobi and communities across Kenya. Homes swept away, families displaced - the risk remains high as rains continue. Bright Futures partner, Dorcas Creation Kenya, is on the ground every day responding to urgent needs. Thanks to your generosity, they are providing emergency food supplies and assisting those displaced to find a place to relocate into safe temporary housing. The situation is still unfolding. Your support is making a real difference in this critical moment. If you would like to add your support go to: https://brightfutures.com.au/donate-to-bright-futures/ to donate online (Tax deductible).
