YOUNG CREATIVES SHAPE THE FUTURE OF SOUTH AFRICA’S CREATIVE ECONOMY
Eleven young creatives participating in the Creative Youth Policy Lab, delivered by Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) in partnership with the British Council South Africa, have developed two policy proposals addressing language recognition and working conditions for creative workers.
The proposals highlight the importance of meaningful youth participation in policy development and creating an enabling environment where creative practitioners can work, grow and contribute to South Africa’s economy.
By connecting lived experience with policy development, the initiative supports a more inclusive, responsive and sustainable creative sector.
